Additional Training Dates – & Try It Session

These sessions are ideal for introducing your mind, body & soul to Para Ice Hockey.

No pressure session where you will be able to borrow all the necessary gear & a sledge to get you on the ice. Disabled or able bodied, Para Ice Hockey is played by both and a real leveller, whether your a para, an amputee or just curious. Para Ice Hockey is fully inclusive in the UK and you can play & train alongside other newcomers, veteran paralympians or curious sports fans who fancy having a go.

Ideally you would attend 3-4 try out sessions before joining the main team training as it tends to be a bit more intense and requires a decent level of ability. You never know though you may be a natural and we could invite you to train with the main team.

Para Ice Hockey is pretty tough & will feel really alien once you in. Most sports require a modicum of multi tasking, Para Ice Hockey though will not only tire you physically but mentally you will also get a good work out. The fitter you are the easier you will find it. It’s also a great way to get fit. Take Graham for example. Having suffered multiple strokes Graham has lost around 6stone in weight training & playing with the squad, so if you aren’t fit then it will certainly set you on the right track to getting there.
